Vacancy Decontrol for Oceanside Mobile Home Parks

Owning a mobile home is one of the most affordable kinds of home ownership left, but the catch is that your house is on land owned by someone else.

KPBS reporter Alison St John says rent control gives mobile home owners some security, but park owners are fighting to overturn it. The latest example is in Oceanside, where Proposition E on the June ballot would phase out rent control for the residents of the city's 17 parks.
